- Proof of Purchase: A receipt, order confirmation, or account details are required to process returns. For in-store purchases, a physical or digital receipt is preferred.
- Return Costs: For online orders, CrivCottage provides a prepaid return shipping label for eligible items returned within 30 days due to defects, damage, or incorrect delivery. For other returns, you may be responsible for return shipping costs unless specified otherwise.
- Refund Method: Refunds are issued to the original payment method or as CrivCottage store credit, at your choice. Refunds include the item price and applicable taxes, but shipping fees are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
- Processing Time: Refunds are typically processed within 5-7 business days after we receive and inspect the returned item. Allow additional time for funds to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
2. Eligible Items and Conditions
- New and Unused Items: Most products (e.g., electronics, clothing, home goods) must be returned in their original, unused condition with all packaging, manuals, and accessories. Items showing wear or damage due to use may be refused or subject to a restocking fee (up to 20% of the item price).
- Defective or Damaged Items: If an item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, contact us within 30 days of delivery for a free return, replacement, or refund. For electronics, we may offer repair or replacement under the manufacturer’s warranty after the 30-day window, up to 1 year from purchase.

- Marketplace Items: Items sold by third-party sellers on the CrivCottage Platform are subject to the seller’s return policy, displayed on the product listing. If no policy is specified, our 30-day return policy applies by default.
- Facilitation: CrivCottage facilitates returns for third-party items by providing a return process through your account. Contact us if you encounter issues with a third-party seller, and we’ll assist in resolving disputes.
- Shipping Costs: Third-party sellers may charge return shipping or restocking fees, as outlined in their policy. CrivCottage covers shipping only for defective or incorrect third-party items.
5. Membership and Rewards Returns
- Membership Fees: CrivCottage memberships (e.g., premium or rewards programs) are non-refundable after 14 days from purchase or renewal, except where required by law. If you cancel within 14 days, you’ll receive a prorated refund for unused benefits.
- Rewards Impact: Returns of purchases that earned rewards (e.g., CrivCottage Cash) may result in a deduction of equivalent rewards from your account. If rewards have been redeemed, the refund amount may be adjusted accordingly.
- 100% Satisfaction Guarantee: Members may benefit from an extended return window (e.g., 90 days for select items) or enhanced guarantees, as detailed in the membership terms.
6. How to Return an Item
- Online Returns:
- Log into your CrivCottage account and go to “Your Orders.”
- Select the item to return and choose a reason (e.g., defective, unwanted).
- Print the prepaid return label (if provided) or follow instructions for self-funded shipping.
- Package the item securely with all original components and ship to the designated address.
- In-Store Returns:
- Bring the item, proof of purchase, and original packaging to any CrivCottage store.
- Our staff will process the return and issue a refund or store credit on the spot.
- International Returns: For orders shipped outside the U.S., contact our support team for return instructions. You may be responsible for return shipping and any customs fees unless the item is defective.
7. Extended Holiday Return Window
For items purchased between November 1 and December 31, CrivCottage offers an extended return window until January 31 of the following year, subject to the same conditions (new, unused, etc.). This applies to eligible items only and excludes non-returnable categories.
8. Exceptions and Special Cases
- Bulk Purchases: Large-quantity or wholesale purchases may have specific return terms, including restocking fees or limited windows, as noted at checkout.
- Auction or Bid Items: Items purchased through CrivCottage auction feature follow the seller’s return policy. If none is specified, contact us within 7 days of delivery for assistance.
